A Map on which the place of the first kiss or the favorite band’s concert is marked – this is what StadtLandCut offers. For their filigree unique items owner Klaus Zimmermann uses kraftplex. In the course of his work he hears many personal stories.<\/p>\n

When we try to make our way through unknown cities, we often tend to draw out our smartphones. Maps instead may seem a little bit antiquated. We trust apps to find orientation and very often they offer us additional information or images of the places we are looking for.<\/span><\/p>\n

What those apps can not show: personal memories connected with a very special place. And this is where StadtLandCut comes in. Klaus Zimmermann, the founder of StadtLandCut<\/a>, produces individually designed maps according to the exact requirements of his customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Filigree Artworks made out of kraftplex<\/span><\/h4>\n

As a material for the delicate art works kraftplex with 0,5mm thickness \u00a0<\/a>is used. \u201cThe material has convinced me because it is thin, stable and easy to work with.\u201d explains Klaus Zimmermann. Also there were only few materials that could be lasered into such filigree structures. On top of that, the guy from Badem-W\u00fcrttemberg in Germany says that the wooden look of kraftplex, that consists of 100% cellulose fibre, to him seems \u201cpretty cool\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of their minimalist design the maps made with kraftplex are an absolute eye-catcher. \u201cWhen it comes to handmade emotional wall decor, there’s no way around us.\u201d says Klaus Zimmermann about his products. The childhood village, the town where you studied or a travelling destination can be arranged in style on the spare wall in your living room. The first kiss, that awesome concert or your wedding’s location: where those events took place exactly can be captured with a small marker. Those markers are available in many different shapes, e.g. in the shape of a heart, a house or a flower.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beautiful and sad stories<\/span><\/h4>\n

Many times his clients get in touch with StadtLandCut, because they are looking for a special souvenir of their wedding. Because Klaus Zimmermann personally advises all of his clients, he hears a lot of personal stories. \u201cA few days ago I received the request of a godfather. The location where the child has asked him whether he wanted to be his godfather will be marked with a star.\u201d he reports.<\/span>\"\"<\/a>Most of the stories were very beautiful, even though some were also very sad. \u201cA few requests came from people, who had lost somebody. They wished for an artwork that represents a special place reminding them of that very special person.\u201d says Klaus Zimmermann. The direct contact to his clients is something he values very highly. Therefore, StadtLandCut will never become a huge business. The personal connection with his customers is just too important to him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wer in unbekannten St\u00e4dten unterwegs ist, z\u00fcckt das Smartphone. Landkarten aus Papier benutzt heutzutage im Alltag kaum noch jemand. Stattdessen helfen Apps, sich zu orientieren und liefern gleich noch Infos und Bilder zu Orten in der N\u00e4he.<\/p>\n

Was Karten-Apps aber nicht zeigen: pers\u00f6nliche Erinnerungen, die wir mit einem ganz bestimmten Platz verbinden. Hier setzt Klaus Zimmermann an. Der Gr\u00fcnder von StadtLandCut<\/a> fertigt individuelle Design-Karten ganz nach den W\u00fcnschen seiner Kundinnen und Kunden an.<\/p>\n

Filigrane Kunstwerke aus Kraftplex<\/h4>\n

Als Material f\u00fcr die feingliedrigen Kunstwerke kommt Kraftplex in der St\u00e4rke 0,5 Millimeter<\/a> zum Einsatz. \u201eDas Material hat mich \u00fcberzeugt, weil es d\u00fcnn, stabil und einfach zu bearbeiten ist\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Klaus Zimmermann seine Wahl. Au\u00dferdem gebe es nur wenige Werkstoffe, die man so filigran lasern k\u00f6nne. Auch die Holzoptik von Kraftplex, das zu 100 Prozent aus Zellulose besteht, findet der Baden-W\u00fcrttemberger \u201eganz cool\u201c.<\/p>\n

Durch ihr minimalistisches Design sind die Karten aus Kraftplex echte Hingucker<\/a>. \u201eWenn es um handgemachte Emotionen f\u00fcr die Wand geht, kommt man an unseren Laser Cuts nicht vorbei\u201c, sagt Klaus Zimmermann \u00fcber seine Produkte. Das Heimatdorf, die Studienstadt oder ein Reiseziel arrangiert man so stilvoll an der Wand im Wohnzimmer. Der erste Kuss, das tollste Konzert oder die Location der Hochzeitsfeier: Wo genau solche Ereignisse stattfanden, l\u00e4sst sich mit einem Marker festhalten. Es gibt sie beispielsweise in Form eines Herzens, eines Hauses oder einer Blume.<\/p>\n

Sch\u00f6ne und traurige Geschichten<\/h4>\n

\u00dcberwiegend wenden sich Kundinnen und Kunden an StadtLandCut, die sich eine besondere Erinnerung an ihre Hochzeit w\u00fcnschen. Weil Klaus Zimmermann sie selbst ber\u00e4t, erf\u00e4hrt er viele pers\u00f6nliche Geschichten. \u201eGerade habe ich die Anfrage eines Patenonkels bekommen. Auf die Karte kommt ein Stern an die Stelle, wo ihn das Kind gefragt hat, ob er Pate sein m\u00f6chte\u201c, erz\u00e4hlt der Gr\u00fcnder.<\/p>\n

Manche Geschichten seien super sch\u00f6n, manche super traurig. \u201eEinige Anfragen kommen von Menschen, die jemanden verloren haben. Sie w\u00fcnschen sich dann eine Markierung an einem sch\u00f6nen Ort, der sie an denjenigen erinnert\u201c, sagt Klaus Zimmermann. Den direkten Kontakt zu K\u00e4uferinnen und K\u00e4ufern sch\u00e4tzt er. StadtLandCut werde wohl niemals ein Millionenbusiness \u2013 daf\u00fcr ist dem Gr\u00fcnder der pers\u00f6nliche Draht zu den Kundinnen und Kunden einfach zu wichtig.<\/p>\n
